Summer Information Overview
Lamar High School Summer School
How Does Summer School Work?
Summer school is in-person only. There are two types of summer school options for students: IBDP Summer School (for students who are IB Diploma Candidates but did not take Algebra 1 in middle school) and Credit Recovery (for students who were previously seated in the course but did not earn credit). Academic Deans will make students aware of the need for summer school. They will send additional notices to the student's email and the parent's email on file as grades for this semester are finalized. It is important that students clear all courses for which they have not earned credit in previous semesters. It is not necessary to email your Academic Dean unless you have not received an email by the week before Summer School and believe summer school is necessary.
-
Students are allowed two absences during summer school.
- Disciplinary referral may result in removal from the summer school Program.
